As women we put everyone's needs before our own. Then, once we have done all the things, everyone is happyish, and we are at the bottom 1/8 of our to-do list, we might consider doing something for us. There is not much left in the tank so we want to make the most of it. More often than not we are probably going to choose something we want to do over what we need to do.
Taking care of your body is so important. It is not about vanity or your dress size. It is about feeling good and strong both mentally and physically. We need to be at our best so that what we give to those around us is our best. I want my kids and my husband to get the A+ version of me. Not the C version. They deserve it.
I know, I know. It is easier said than done. True. But that is why I sat down with my gal Amy Martin from @fitwithgritandgrace to talk about how we can tackle personal fitness in just 10 minutes at a time. Oh, and we did it over a delicious coctail. So, whip one up for yourself. Hit play. And take a listen as we talk about all the obsticles, how to overcome them with a plan and a back up plan, and how we can be our best and feel our best with just 10 minutes.
You can find out more about Amy at www.fitwithgritandgrace.com and RSVP for her free pop-up work out on Saturday Decemer 5th at 9 am at Founder's Park in the Townes of Northriver. You will also get a free PDF workout you can do from home.

Here is the tasty treat:
Hot Apple Cider Rum Punch
Ingredients:
1/2 gallon apple cider (I like cold pressed, unfiltered)
2 cups diet cranberry juice cocktail
1 cup orange juice (I like Simply Light pulp free)
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves
2 cups spiced dark rum
Directions:
Pour apple cider, cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice and brown sugar into Instant Pot.
Place cinnamon and cloves in steamer basket or tea infuser basket and place in Instant Pot.
Set Instant Pot on manual for 15 minutes. Set valve to sealing position.
Once the Instant Pot seals and then cooks for 15 minutes, do a quick release by setting the valve to venting (I use a wooden spoon to turn it so I don’t get burned by the steam). Prepare for your house to smell amazing!
Once completely vented, open the lid and pour in the spiced rum. Give it a stir and you are ready to serve! Garnish with fresh orange slice.
If serving at a party, leave the Instant Pot on keep the cider warm and fill your house with the delicious smell all day.
